The Supercharger2 comes with a robust frame for heavy riding. But it’s the dual battery as standard that really sets this eBike apart.
If you’re all about long-distance riding, this is the electric bike for you.
The Supercharger2 has always been popular for those riders wanting to cover the miles, and there really isn’t another bike on the market quite like this.
And as with all Riese & Müller e-bikes, there are plenty of add-ons to help you get your bike just right. The GX pack is a must-have if you’re off-roading as it adds chunky Schwalbe Johnny Watts tyres, Ergon GP3 bar-ends to the handlebars and flat pedals for grip. The front carrier option allows you to carry another bag on the front. While the additional ABUS chain lock extension is a good bet if you’re planning on leaving your bike somewhere for a bit longer.
So what’s my recommendation? Well, I actually rode the Supercharger2 e-bike throughout 2020 and I opted for the Supercharger2 GT touring with a 1000Wh battery, a Kiox display and a GX pack. And, of course, I chose the Curry Matt colour. (What a great name for a colour! More like this please Riese & Müller.)
I did plenty of short weekend rides, everyday commuting, laps of Exmoor and even a 100-mile loop during lockdown.
