Our Riese & Müller Delite5 Test Day was a huge success. Visitors enjoyed test rides on the Delite5 GT Pinion throughout the day. There was keen interest in the bike, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive—plus, Dan managed to eat most of the cakes!

Delite5 GT Pinion – Customer Questions from Test Day
1. Can I use a second battery with Delite5 GT Pinion?
Yes, second batteries from FIT cost around £840, similar to the Bosch 800Wh battery. The Delite5’s included 800Wh battery already provides substantial range, suitable for most riders’ daily and weekend needs. However, if you anticipate frequent long-distance touring or extended trips without access to overnight charging, a second battery could be beneficial. Alternatively, consider the upcoming Superdelite5, which features the new Bosch Gen5 motor and dual batteries offering an impressive 1200Wh total capacity. Find out more about the Superdelite5 >>
2. Can it go on a car rack?
Yes, the Delite5 GT Pinion is compatible with car racks. With the battery removed, the bike weighs under 30kg, making it suitable for tow bar-mounted or roof-mounted bike racks, provided they support the bike’s weight. We often recommend high-quality brands like Thule racks due to their reliability, weight capacity and ease of use.
3. What is the lead time?
Typically, Riese & Müller bikes have a standard lead time of around 4-6 weeks. However, due to high demand and limited availability, the current lead time for the Delite5 extends to the end of May. We highly recommend ordering as soon as possible to avoid disappointment and ensure delivery in time for peak riding season.
4. Can we get the HS version?
Yes, the Delite5 GT Pinion is available in an HS (high-speed) version. The HS version is available starting from £8,259. As with all Riese and Muller high speed bikes, they are classified as mopeds under UK law so the appropriate license and insurance are necessary.
5. Is there a Bosch/Rohloff version?
Currently, the Delite5 GT Pinion is available exclusively with the Pinion motor and gearbox system. For riders interested specifically in a Bosch/Rohloff configuration, we suggest considering the Homage5, which comes equipped with the Bosch Gen 5 Motor and Rohloff gearing. Alternatively, the Delite4 offers a Bosch/Rohloff option, and the dual-battery Superdelite5 can be configured with either Rohloff or traditional chain and cassette gearing.
6. Is there an app?
Yes, the Delite5 GT Pinion integrates with two app systems. The FIT App allows you to manage and monitor your bike’s performance and settings conveniently from your smartphone. Keep an eye on our YouTube Channel for a video on the FIT App coming soon. Additionally, the Riese & Müller App, when combined with the RX Chip system, provides advanced security, tracking, and further bike management features, enhancing your riding experience and peace of mind.
