Charger3 GT vario
Dan's overview:
The Charger3 is sits at the top of the incredibly popular 'mountain bike' category. But with it's huge range of options and variants theis bike can be configured for pretty much any use.
In the basic touring variant it is a great lightweight efficient commuting machine fitted with mudguards, pannier rack and lights as standard.
When upgraded to the GT rohloff version with the addition of the GX pack, this bike will go anywhere and do anything.
Whenever friends and family want an electric bike, I always recommend the Charger3. If you are buying your first electric bike, buy the Charger3 and you won't ever be disapointed.
Price range: £3,919 to £7,807
Variants: The Charger3 is presented in five different specifications;
The GT models have the addition of a Cane Creek thudbuster suspension seatpost, and wide Schwalbe Moto-X tyres. Great when you just can't help but stray off the tarmac.
Colours: There are three different colours to choose from.
Sizes: The Charger3 comes in a range of frames sizes to suit nearly all riders.
Options: As with all Riese & Müller bikes, there are plenty of options to help you get your bike just right, straight out of the showroom.
My recommendation:
I'd choose the Charger3 GT Rohloff. This bike will require little maintanance, and I like the idea of the slightly larger battery just for piece of mind. For the options I'd choose the Nyon cockpit, GX pack and front carrier. Most popular colour is the Storm Blue Matt, but I'd go for the Carribean Matt :)
All in, delivered, set-up and with a full hand-over by EDEMO for £6,477 inc VAT.
Then I'd also add a pair of Vaude 48l Aqua back pannier bags in black for £120... and maybe some Sealskin gloves for £50... and an Abus Urban Helmet for £79.99... and a Buff? Then I'd head out for a tour of the Cotswolds, and I know some really good green lanes to the middle of nowhere :)
We have a Charger3 demonstrator available at our showroom. Give us a call if you would like to book a viewing. 01453 834300.
